Commissioned Stained Glass

Stained Glass Dome (Ireland)
The stained glass came form an abbey in Belfast, Ireland (Mount Melleray - Portlegon House - Our Lady Of Bethlehem Abbey).
The work consisted of the replacing one segment of a six segment dome which had been broken. Each piece was approximately 1700mmX1220mm (67InchX48inch) and the overall size of the dome was 3.5 metres wide X 3 meters high.
The work we carried out was to copy and reproduce the original design. The glass was etched, the glass stain was applied and then it was bent it to its original shape (with the help of a company who specialize in glass bending). Bent glass is not unusual to this size but glass staining is.

FIRED ENAMEL/STAINED GLASS
The pictures below show stained glass panels which we reproduced from the broken originals. The work was carried out at The Grand Hotel in Liverpool. Each panel measured 1220X610mm. We copied and replaced twenty eight panels in all, there were three different designs.
Our specialist field is being able to silk screen several different glass enamels on to one sheet of glass in a design form.
This is not a new method of creating stained glass panels. it is in fact an old method which we have developed using modern techniques.

Stained Glass Oversized Door Panel (Pearsons Glass Ltd, Merseyside)
The pictures of the door panel below was copied and reproduced from one broken piece of the original.
The border design was very intricate and quit hard to copy and lay out .
The coloured border was fired in the kiln, then the design was etched out of the glass.
This design was very unusual and also very affective, as the coloured border looked fantastic with etched glass.

Stained Glass Door Panel And Side-lights (Scotland, Solaglas Windowcare)
The pictures of the door panel and sidelight, were copied and reproduced for a private customer in Scotland through Solaglas, Windowcare.
The panels had been copied by a company previously to ourselves, but the colours were all incorrect!
These panels were a very unusual unique design to copy.
There were several different colours to apply and fire in the kiln as well as etching parts of the design.
