How to Clean Your Glass

Keeping your decorative and etched glass looking its best is simple — and you don’t need any special products. One of the great advantages of etched glass is that it can be cleaned using any standard household glass cleaner to remove fingerprints, smudges, and everyday marks.

How to Clean Etched Glass

For customers who prefer a DIY cleaning solution, you can make your own effective glass cleaner at home. A mixture of isopropyl alcohol, ammonia and water creates a powerful spray that cuts through dirt and restores clarity. These ingredients are common household items and can be mixed into any clean spray bottle.

To clean your glass:
1. Spray your chosen cleaner evenly over the surface.
2. Wipe gently using a soft cotton or lint-free cloth.
3. Avoid microfibre cloths that may leave traces behind on certain etched surfaces.

That’s all it takes to keep your glass looking bright, clean, and beautifully clear.

A downloadable PDF guide with full care instructions will also be available on this page for your convenience.

Additional Cleaning Steps for Etched & Decorative Glass

1) Prepare two clean white terry towelling cloths and a standard household glass or window cleaner.

2) Spray the window cleaner evenly over the glass surface. Using the first cloth, clean the glass in small circular motions to achieve a smooth, even finish.

U3) Use the second cloth (dry) to gently buff the glass, bringing it to a clean, streak-free shine.

For stubborn marks such as silicone or adhesive residue: These can sometimes be difficult to remove from etched surfaces. We recommend doing a pre-clean with Cif cream cleaner (bathroom version).
Cif contains a mild abrasive that can help lift tough marks.
After using Cif, rinse or wipe thoroughly, then repeat the standard cleaning process above.
