Acid Etched On Flash Glass, Fort Augustus- Inverness
After a customer had a panel broken they needed a new an exact match in order to blend with the order panels, after the customer took some photos and a glass rubbing. We determined the glass was acid etched onto red flash glass.
We sent out a sample of our red to the customer to ensure the colour was a match, once we had confirmation of this we proceeded to copy the design digitally ready to be applied to a screen.
Instead of using the traditional technique of acid etching which can be costly and has dangerous chemicals, so we used our developed technique, which we call double etching (you can see more of our products in double etched here).
The finished glass panel was sent out to the customer and was of exact likeness.
